Sharad Purnima is an Indian Festival. Actually , Sharad Purnima is Hindu Traditional Festival. As the Shard Purnima is Hindu Festival , it is celebrated according to Hindu tithes. Shard Purnima falls in the month of Ashvin of Full moon day (Purnima). As per the Geogrian calendar , Sharad purnima is celebrated inSeptember or October’.

Sharad Purnima is also known as ‘Kumara Purnima , Kojagiri Purnima , Navnna Purnima and Kamudi Purnima. The Sharad Purnima festival had special value and importance in the lives of Hindus. In 2020 , Shard Purnima would be celebrated on ‘30th of October’. 

On Sharad Purnima , the moon had special value. However , the Sharad Purnima is celebrated after the Navratri. Sharad Purnima marks the End of Monsoon season. It is believed that Shard Purnima is the beginning of a new phase of Life.

Sharad Purnima is also celebrated for the new harvest. That is why Shard Purnima is known as the Harvesting festival.Sharad Purnima is celebrated at the annual frequency. Sharad Purnima is celebrated with the proper rituals and cultural format.

The Story of Sharad Purnima Begins , this is as follows:

Once upon a Time , there was Rich money lender who had two daughters. Their two daughters always practice fast on Sharad Purnima. Their daughters always practice the Sharad Purnima fast with the Proper rituals and customs.

Their Elder Daughter considered fast with the Strict rituals and customs  , while the younger daughter considered the fast but modified rituals and customs as per her or in her own way.

After the times , Money Lender daughters begin to step in the youth generation. And Money Lender decides to marry their daughters (both) to multi talented and good boys. Money lender search stops , as he finds the proper Groom for their Daughters. He married their daughters with those boys.

Money Lender daughters were happily married and happily lived. After this , their two daughters become pregnant at the same time.As the time passes , they both give born to the cute child. Their Elder daughter had a healthy and happy child , while the other had an unhealthy child and after the times of Born , he died.

With times going , Money Lenders second daughter had dropped their two children. Due to this , their younger daughter worried and visited the Brahmin for the solution. After that Brahmin gave a solution. 

Another Time , Younger daughter gave birth to a child which was born and died. And Due to the touch of their elder sister , the dead children lived. This Children lived due to the Elder sister because she always fasted for the Shard purnima with strict rituals and bhakti of Lord Vishnu , due to this she gained this power and holy.

Sharad Purnima Celebration

As the Sharad Purnima Falls after the celebration of Navratri. On Sharad Purnima , people play dandiya on this day in the shine of the full moon. On this day , many people cook poha and kheer , and eat them in the shining of Purnima which had special mean in hindy holy books.As the Sharad Purnima is last day of playing dandiya and worship of Maa durga (as their Day ). 

With this , people wake up early and take holy baths. On this day , many people visit the temples to worship god and goddess (especially Lord Vishnu and their wife Goddess Laxmi). On Sharad Purnima , many people visit the holy places to celebrate this festival as with their God and Goddess.

On Sharad Purnima , people practice fast and offer special prayers , chants to the God and Goddess. On Sharad Purnima , people decorate the temples and their houses , to celebrate this festival with more spirit and joy.

On Sharad Purnima , many people consider donations to the charities to define the actual meaning of the festival (related to good manners and belief of hindu religion).

On Sharad Purnima , people begin their work with the new phase of life , on this day people open new ventures , new purchases etc. It is said that , On Shard Purnima Lord Vishnu and many gods and goddesses wake up from their sleep and bless their children. 

It is believed that Sharad Purnima brings happiness and prosperity in the lives of those who celebrate Shard Purnima and consider fasting on this day. Shard Purnima is the day to remain in the Bhakti of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi , remember their teachings and their stories in which they bless their devotees with all the happiness , love and peace.

Sharad Purnima as Indian Hindu festival which has greater significance for the Hindu people. On this day , People visit the temples and holy places to make sorry for their evil deeds to God and make them promise to conduct good and positive work.

Sharad Purnima had Significance for the females (majorily).Sharad Purnima is a special and important day for Married and unmarried women. As the Married women consider Fast and celebrate the Sharad purnima for their happy married life and health and wealth of their husband. While the Unmarried women considered for their Good and Prosper Husband.

On Sharad Purnima , Both Women worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. In the evening , they perform prayer and hear the stories of Sharad purnima and Lord Vishnu for their devotees which defines the importance and prosperity of Sharad Purnima.

With the Sharad Purnima celebration , Women complete their fast by seeing the Full moon and drink water. Every year of the Sharad Purnima is celebrated with more happiness , joy and cheer.
